Expway’s Claude Seyrat featured speaker at Video Over LTE Summit, Amsterdam
On June 24, Expway’s Chief Marketing Officer Claude Seyrat answered that question, and more, as a featured speaker at the Video Over LTE Summit in Amsterdam.
The Summit attracted top leaders from the industry around the topic of monetizing the strategic opportunities around Broadcast LTE.
In his talk, titled “Beyond Live TV: More use-cases and revenue sources from LTE Broadcast”, Seyrat highlighted the findings from an in-depth study Expway has recently undertaken to identify the most promising business cases for LTE Broadcast.
The analysis, based on 25 million subscribers, illustrates how LTE Broadcast could be used in a wide variety of applications. Here are just a few:
Quadruple Play: Operators can offer quadruple play (incl. Internet, TV and VOD, Mobile phoning and LTE) even in areas where wired broadband is not available, thereby attracting new customers and generating brand new revenues.
The Connected Car: For the driver, having instant access to local information – from fuel price alerts to real-time parking spot updates – reduces stress. And Live TV and Netflix-type of content will keep the Connected carkids in the backseat entertained during long road-trips.
eNewpapers: The end user can browse her favorite newspaper, every morning – complete with videos – without any painfully long downloading time. And since it can be updated all day long, the latest news can be instantly accessed at any time.
